Final Project for 8th Grade Honors, Journey to Careers (Career Fair)
The student will be responsible to do the following for their final project: Test Grade Final Grade
The following items must be in 1, 2, & 3 to get an A:
Spelling and Grammar
Has all documents
Information is correct
Display is presentable with all items
Knowledgeable about career and all information

Bonus: +10 Points to your final grade and each individual Grade. Create a PowerPoint presentation that will loop on your table next to your display.
The student will be responsible to do the following for their final project: Test Grade Final Grade
- A Project display Board : A trifold showing information that is listed under. (1 Test Grade) (%20) Due May 8yj
- A portfolio: showing the information listed under. (1 Test Grade) (%20) Due May 8th
- Visual display: items dealing with your career choice (1 Test Grade) (%20) Due May 8th
- Presentation: You will present your career to individuals or a small group (2 Test Grades) (%20) Due May 8th
- Brochure: Create a Brochure that pulls someone into your career choice (1 Test Grade) (%20) Due May 8th
The following items must be in 1, 2, & 3 to get an A:
- Explain why did you choose this career and the process you went through to get there. (Due 4/21)
- Career Interest Surveys, Road Map, & Personality Test Results (Due 4/19)
- Explain where your career falls in the career clusters (Due 4/21)
- Show your career pathway (Due 4/21)
- Explain in detail your plan from high school, pre college, college, after college, first career. You must have in detail everything you must do in each field not just the sheet you handed in. (Due 4/26)
- High School: explain the classes you must take, plus clubs to join
- Pre College: you must explain what you need to do to get into the college of your choice(test, classes, application, etc.)
- College: a plan on the path you will take through college (classes, clubs, organizations, awards, etc)
- Post college: what do you need to get your first career (high degree: Masters, Ph.D., Exams, Internships, etc)
- First Career: This is the first career you will get after college and what do you need to do to get it. (how did you find the career, explain the interview process, show your resume and cover letter)
- Present your budget for the next ten years (Due 4/28)
- Create an example of what your W2 and W4 will look like (Due 4/28)
- Explain your career and give examples on your trifold. Use the information from 1-7 to tell people everything they need to get into that career. Explain how dangerous or safe your career choice is. (Due 4/28)
- You will have a table to put your project displays board on. Your trifold, binder, display items must be ready by this day or you will not be permitted to present. (You will get an F for presentation)
- You will stand by your display and students, teachers, and guest speakers will walk through in groups and your will explain your career to them and they will grade you.
